Filtration |
 |
 |
Filtration is a very important component in the micro irrigation system because proper and efficient filtration will ensure optimum performance of the system. It is necessary to remove suspended impurities, in the irrigation water, which otherwise will clog the pipeiines and drippers.
Depending on the quality of water, we offer a range of filters like Sand/Gravel filter, Hydrocyclones and Screen/Disc filters. |

Gravel Filters
Gravel filters are for primary filtration when the irrigation water is drawn from open wells, canals, dams and other types of water contaminated with organic impurities, algae, silt etc; The filter consists of a powder coated mild steel body and filter media of sand or quartz with sizes of gravel ranging from 0.8mm to 4mm.
Filters are available in capacities 15, 20,30 and 60 m3/h with either threaded or flange connection. The filter is cleaned by reversing the water flow direction which back flushes the filter media. Back flushing can be done either manually or automatically. |

Screen Filters
These are extensively used for secondary filtration. The Screen filters are available powder coated mild steel body with capacities 10,20,30,40,50 and 70 m3/h with double inserts covered with SS 120 mesh. Double inserts ensure thourough cleaning of the water. Cleaning of these filters are carried out by removing the elements and washing the screens or by back wash. |

Hydrocyclone
They are also called as Centrifugal separators. These filters are very simple and efficient for filtering or separating sand particles or silt from irrigation water. The spiral motion of the water when it enters the Hydrocyclone creates a contrifugal force, which pulls down thc heavy particles. The bottom tank of tho conical filter will collect the separated particles. Hydrocyclone are available in capacities of 10, 20,3A oncl 50 m3/h. The pressure drop required by cyclones for separation of sand particles and silt are very low. |
